Phelps Wood grew up in a family business and has spent the bulk of his professional life working with both family-owned and founder-led businesses. He founded Tres Arcos to help enterprising families navigate transitions and perpetuate successful businesses and family relationships.

Phelps helps clients identify common values, establish realistic goals and work together to foster and strengthen their legacy. With experience leading his family’s business through a generational transition, Phelps empathizes with the difficult conversations and emotions that face families and the complexity of balancing business needs with family relationships.

Phelps holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and earned both an MA and a BA, cum laude, from Middlebury College in Vermont. He is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), is fluent in French and has a working knowledge of Spanish and German.

Phelps is originally from Southern California and currently resides in the SF Bay Area. He is an avid trail runner, skier and taste-tester of baked goods for his wife and two daughters.
